GABRIEL’S MUSIC

Gabriel’s Music, is one of the most exciting and promising initiatives that Strings for Schools has encountered in our more than three decades of in-school and community music education programs. This initiative came to us through a vision by Hilary Green, who saw how thousands of children from impoverished sections of Venezuela use music to turn around their lives.

A network of youth orchestras has been formed throughout South and Central America. And now, because of Hilary Green and her partnership with Strings for Schools and the Philadelphia School District, that vision is becoming a reality right here in South Philadelphia.

We are committed to touch the minds and hearts of every youngster through the power of music.

By coming to this inaugural Summer String Camp Concert, you will be helping to ensure the success of a South Philadelphia Regional Orchestra this fall—an initiative that will breathe new life, camaraderie, and inner healing into the lives of thousands upon thousands of youngsters in years to come.
